Ming Gu was called to the Bar in 2022, having been admitted as a solicitor in 2015. His practice is focused on litigation, with particular experience in criminal defence, commercial disputes, corporate law and commercial crime. He applies a consistent approach across both criminal and civil matters, grounded in careful analysis of evidence and thorough procedural preparation.
He holds a CPA qualification. His prior experience in banking, combined with his prosecution background and accounting qualification, enables him to work effectively on matters involving financial evidence and commercial transactions.
Ming is bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese. He is able to work directly with Chinese-language evidence and communicate with clients in Mandarin without the need for interpreters.

Prior experience as a police prosecutor provides familiarity with how the prosecution constructs and runs its case.

Litigation arising from corporate governance disputes, directors' duties, and insolvency proceedings. Including oppression applications, winding up proceedings, and director disqualification matters under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).
